Burbidge J Handle Malmo in Matt Mussel

Brief:  Provide the customer with a stunning, contemporary kitchen that increases available storage and work space.

Budget: £14,000

Includes: Kitchen furniture, Silestone solid work surfaces, Neff appliances, and storage solutions. (This does not include fitting)

Designer tip:  Removing units from the back wall and placing them opposite the hob instead provided plenty of storage and increased the amount of work surface. Opening the rear wall gave the spot for a designer Bisque radiator, and the Silestone behind the Elica extractor adds panache, to this slick, modern interior.

Shaker Wood Effect in Ivory

The Brief: To create a light and airy space, removing a dark toned wood kitchen that had come to the end of its life. Practicality and ease of cleaning was the key to reshaping the room and choosing materials.

This Includes: Kitchen furniture and grained wood effect doors. Pronorm textured wood effect laminate surfaces. AEG & Bosch appliances. Sterling granite composite 1.5 bowl sink. Seating, further storage and dresser display in adjacent room. All fitting, electrics, plaster work & plumbing.

Designer Tip: The use of a wood effect door and high quality laminate work surface, means the room looks stunning but is very easy to maintain, as all surfaces can be easily wiped down without fear of chipping paint or damaging wood. Savings were also made on material costs.

Kemble, Solid Oak Door in Mussel

Newton, Rugby

Brief:  Part of a building project to create an open plan, lifestyle space. This meant knocking down the wall between the kitchen and dining room, raising the ceiling and fitting new sky lights. The customer wanted a classically styled room that functioned well and provided seating to watch TV and eat in while enjoying lots of natural light.

Budget: £15,000

Includes: Kitchen furniture, Neff appliances, sink, boiling water tap, pop up sockets, wirework, larder pull out and corner solution, and furniture lighting, (the building work was completed by the customers own contractor).

Designer tip:  Curved edges and corner cabinets are used to add movement and flow to the space, while the increased height units aid storage and take the furniture up to the raised ceiling. The dresser makes a feature on a structural wall that would otherwise have little use.

Review:  Thank you for such a great job!

High Gloss Lacquer in Cream

Hillmorton, Rugby

Brief:  As part of planned building work to completely remodel the ground floor of the house, giving a kitchen dinner, utility and down stairs shower room. The client was looking for a clean modern space that could become the heart of the home.

Includes: High gloss, lacquered kitchen furniture in kitchen and utility. Solid oak worktops, AEG appliances, Elica feature extractor, wine cooler, ceramic sink, abode feature tap, 2 corner pull out solutions, 2 pull out larder solutions and bespoke painted glass splash back. Fitting of kitchen and utility furniture, and solid wood work surfaces (does not include building or preparatory work).

Designer tip: Sometimes splashing out that little bit more on certain items within the kitchen can really bring in the wow factor and set the room apart. In this instance the extractor, tap and handles add interest to the finish of a clean spacious kitchen.

Review: The service you have given us has been of the highest possible standard, nothing being too much trouble, and giving careful attention to the slightest concern or query with regard to any part of the process of replacing our kitchen.  We are delighted with the final outcome.

Pronorm X Line in Super White High Gloss

Cawston, Rugby

The Brief: The customer wanted a sleek, modern, fresh looking kitchen to replace the tired, old model that was installed during the house build. Minor building work was also carried out to remove the stack pipe from the corner of the kitchen, giving the space greater flexibility for design and storage options.

Budget: £17,500

This Includes: Pronorm X Line furniture, a classic German handleless kitchen with aluminium railing detail. Corian work surfaces with 50mm coved upstand and integrated sink. Neff appliances, bespoke glass splash back, LED multi tone under and above cabinet lighting with control remote.

Designer Tip: The use of Corian provides a joint free flow to the work surface, coved upstands mean no water can get between joints and the integrated seamless sink looks stunning, whilst being durable and practical.

High Gloss in White

Brief:  Due to previous extension, the room was oddly shaped. The customer wanted to make the most of the space, maximise storage and integrate a cat flap. This also meant working around the previously installed floor.

Budget: £17,500

Includes: Kitchen furniture, Mistral acrylic work surface and sill, Siemens (ex-display) appliances, ceramic under mount sink, factory processed recessed drainer board, boiling water tap 3 in 1 Insinkerator, removal and installation of kitchen and surfaces, building work to fill existing extractor whole and make new cat flap, all electrical work, plastering and plumbing.

Designer tip: The Mistral surfaces give a stunningly clean finish, and the reduced depth units for the wardrobe help the once awkward space flow more naturally. We also loved creating the very unique cat flap feature.

Review: From the planning and designing, to the supply, installation and after sales service, Alex Lee provided us with a top quality service which resulted in a flawless exceptional finish. They transformed our kitchen from a dark, dated and disjointed area into a light, modem user friendly space, which is an absolute pleasure to cook in and spend time with the family. Alex Lee provides an all-round superior service at an affordable price with no hard sell, I would definitely recommend this company.

Pronorm Y Line in Matt Crystal White and Slate Grey

Stratford Upon Avon

The Brief: The customers were very keen on the handleless look and wanted a kitchen that would amaze their guests. It was also important that all appliances fit, and were hidden within the space.

Budget: £18,000

This Includes: Kitchen furniture, Siemens & Bosch appliances, Mistral work tops, Elica hood, removal and installation, building work (squaring off of window opening and entry door), electrical work and plastering.

Designer Tip: The tall units have been set into the wall to create the feel of more space and minimise impact from the soil pipe and stairwell, keeping the fresh look. With careful plan and design, we were able to hide an entire kitchen of appliances in the cabinets.

Review: I had a clear idea of what I wanted to create, and after meeting with Alex, my wife and I were confident that he would make it a reality. The whole process from concept design to installation was incredibly exciting and enjoyable and we have now been left with a kitchen that really has the WOW factor.

Pronorm Y Line in White Gloss & Indigo Blue
